Yes, you can use Apple Pay on Sydney buses. Transport for NSW has announced the completion of its expansion of contactless payments across bus services in Sydney, the Illawarra, the Central Coast, the Hunter Region, and the Southern Highlands, with the technology allowing card payments on buses in addition to other public transportation options.
Furthermore, because of Visa, MasterCard, and American Express, mobile payments can be used, which means services like Apple Pay, Google Pay, and Samsung Pay, among others, can be used.
Apple Pay is an Apple Inc. mobile payment and digital wallet service that allows users to make payments in person, in iOS apps, and on the web. It is compatible with the iPhone, Apple Watch, iPad, and Mac. Apple Pay is based on the Contactless Payment Tokenisation Specification and uses the EMV Payment Tokenisation Specification.
You can use Apple Pay by adding a credit, debit, or prepaid card to the Wallet app on your iPhone, Apple Watch, or another compatible device. You'll be able to use Apple Pay once you've added your card. Because some Apple Watches can be managed with Family Setup, cards cannot be added directly to the watch.
